Highlights of modern art include Afro Basaldella’s informal mixed media ‘Bicicletta’ from 1967 (estimate: € 20000-25000/ reserve price: € 6500), the watercolor ‘Narzissen’ (daffodils) from 1950 by Erich Heckel (estimate: € 8000-10000/ reserve price: € 2400), standing nudes & wedding of Boccaccio Adimari (front and back), 2 drawings on one sheet from around 1927 and around 1936/37 by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (estimate: 8000-9000/ reserve price: € 2000), a watercolor with flowering shrubs by Emil Nolde from 1913/14, with Seebüll expertise from 1975 (estimate: € 60000-80000/ reserve price: € 18000), two still lifes by Filippo de Pisis, oil painting with certificate of authenticity by Giovanni Comisso, 1968 (estimates: € 8000-9000/ reserve prices: € 2800), the view of Soglio with the Sciora group in oil by Clara Porges (estimate: € 25000-30000/ reserve price: € 7500) and the large gestural abstraction in oil by Selim Turan (estimate: € 6000-7500/ reserve price: € 1500), to name but a few. The ZERO group is represented by Leo Erb and Heinz Mack and 9 works by Otto Piene, including the Osrampilz, the original from 1967 (estimate: € 8000-9000/ reserve price: € 1200). Günter Uecker’s nail object from 2005 (estimate: € 1000-1200/ reserve price: € 190) and 30 prints, predominantly large-format embossed prints (estimates: € 800-3500/ reserve prices: € 20) are worth mentioning.

A collection of Czech art forms a special group, including a church interior in oil by Oldrich Blazicek, dated 1937 (estimate: € 10000-12000/ reserve price: € 1900), landscapes by Zdenka Braunerova, Alois Kaldova, Josef Nawratil, Jaroslav Panuska II (estimates: € 1500-3000/ reserve prices: € 300-390), views of Prague by Emil Artur Pittermann, Karel Randa, Vaclav Nemecek and many more.

In the Old Art section, the auction will include a large three-quarter portrait in oil of a nobleman of the 16th century from the circle of Hans Holbein II (estimate: € 5000-6000/ reserve price: € 1000), a multi-figure oil painting with an attack on a wagon train by a Dutch master of the 17th century (estimate: € 5000-6000/ reserve price: € 1200), etc. The collection of 16 figures of saints from the 14th-16th centuries is also significant. The large wooden sculpture of the Apostle Andrew, probably from Ulm around 1500 (estimate: € 8000-12000/ reserve price: € 2800), the fully sculpted reliquary of a female saint, the work of a southern German master carver around 1500/1520 (estimate: € 5000-6000/ reserve price: € 1800) or the large wooden Deposition of Jesus from the Cross by Joseph of Arimathea, probably also from southern Germany around 1500/20 (estimate: € 5000-6000/ reserve price: € 1500), should be emphasized here. The Asiatica section is also diverse this time – particularly interesting are the Chinese blue and white porcelains from the 17th/19th century from an old German collection, including a few large blue and white chums with courtly scenes (estimate: € 2500-3000/ reserve price: € 800) or the bottle vase with

wing-shaped handles in the ‘Venetian style’ of the Kangxi period around 1700 (estimate: € 600-800/ reserve price: € 200). In contrast to this is the spectacular collection of 22 porcelain sculptures of the great Chairman Mao Zedong, some up to 182 cm tall, from a diplomatic household around 1970, some painted in color, such as the almost life-size figure of the revolutionary leader and politician on a pedestal, greeting the masses with his right hand (estimate: € 3500-4500/ reserve price: € 1600) or with a cigarette and the ‘Red Book’ in white porcelain (estimate: € 3500-4000/ reserve price: € 1800). Figures of this size were only ordered by the government for official buildings, and only a few flawless pieces were accepted by the state inspectors. But it gets even larger: the warrior B of the Riace bronzes from the middle of the 5th century BC in original life-size bronze, an outstanding replica, h 197cm, rare! (estimate: € 20000-25000/ reserve price: € 2800). In advance- this one will not be delivered by DHL!
